Damien McMahon. BSc, MISCP
Damien is a Chartered Physiotherapist and a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (MISCP). Damien successfully completed the BSc. Honours Physiotherapy programme at the University of Limerick (2017). Prior to undertaking his chartered physiotherapy degree, Damien studied Physiology and Health Science in IT Carlow (2013) and Exercise and Sports Therapy in Portobello Dublin (2012).
During his time at the University of Limerick, Damien had the opportunity to work in the Neuro Functional Zone Ballincollig, Co Cork. Damien designed and implemented exercise programmes for people with Neurological conditions such as stroke, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinsonism. Damien has a keen interest in evidence based exercise for people with Neurological conditions.
Damien initially gained experience with Excel Physiotherapy in 2011. During this time, he assisted Sean with the Clare senior Gaelic footballers. Since then, Damien has been the physiotherapist for the Eire Og GAA Club and Clare GAA underage hurling and football teams. During this time Damien became passionate about the assessment and treatment of hip and groin injuries, rehabilitation of ACL injuries and hamstring injuries.
